AR Rahman did this experiment in the movie Lal Salaam starring Rajinikanth directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth. On this occasion Rahman participated in an interview and shared with the audience about this experiment. Bakya sang Kalame Kalame songs in Ponniyin Selvan's Ponni Nadi and Robot 2.O movies directed by Mani Ratnam. On the other hand, Hamid has given his voice to the movies Jeans and Kadalan. But Rahman has heard the voices of these two who left the world at a young age through AI technology again in Lal Salaam.
Bakya and Hamid's voices are heard through AI in the song Timiri Eluda in the movie Lal Salaam. This is the first time that the voices of the late singers are heard through AI. But Rahman says that we have taken all necessary permissions for this. After thinking that their voices should be heard through AI for the film, we took their families' permission. He said that their families are also happy to know that their voices will be heard again. Both of their voices are assets to their families. Rahman said that permission is mandatory to use them, so we used them only after they said that they had no objection and for that we gave their families a suitable reward.
